I can’t lose weight. Please HELP?
I’m 24 years old. Within the past 2 years I’ve gained 50+ pounds!! It’s not like I don’t know what to do. I used to be a personal trainer. Thyroid problems are very common in my family, I’m not trying to blame this on my thyroid but I just thought I should mention that.
I’ve have tried exercise with high amounts of cardio up to 6 days a week for months at a time. NOTHING comes off, I simply gain more weight. (and surprisingly do not eat more when exercising) I am aware that muscle weighs more than fat, but if I was gaining muscle, then my jeans wouldn’t continually get smaller…
Another thing is I’m ALWAYS tired.
Also, I’ve tried every diet pill, I’ve tried changing my diet. I hardly eat anything throughout the day as it is.
The normal caloric intake for a woman is 1500-2000.. on an average (even when I feel that I’m stuffing my face) I intake around 1200 calories.
I’m to the point now where I am considered obese. I’ve tried not eating at all and I just get faint.
I’m 5 foot 2 inches and very close to 200 pounds. This is very scary to me. I do not have insurance so going to the doctor is not an option at this time. If there are any herbs or supplements that may boost my metabolism, or ANY idea whatsoever on how to get rid of this fat which literally has changed my life (for the worse). I would appreciate any ideas.
I hope I have already answered any possible questions, but please let me know if there is anything else you think may be a factor.
ok samantha .. u might be reading my answer as just another answer but… listen.. i was also in the exact same situation as u.. i am also 24 yrs old and weighed 121 pounds (my height is 5.2 as well just like u) 2 yrs ago and now i weigh 145pounds. I was exactly like u.. i was at the gym every day before i got married.. (2yrs ago).. even if i had worked a physical job the whole day i would still attend the gym.. i got married and became lazy… and stopped eating healthy.. i started consuming lots of junk food.. i moved from the city i lived in away from my family to the city my husband lives in.. i was depressed.. and because of depression i kept eating to make me happy and i gained alot of weight.. i started the gym a year ago again.. but because once i used to fit the tighest jeans i guess i expected quick results and so i gave up easily.. i have a physical job now as well and still weigh 145 pounds. So one month ago i said to myself i am going to go to the gym to make an effort….because diets and supplement pills do not really work.. do u know why.. because u and i are not motivated enough.. so if your gym has classes with groups try to attend those because at the end they will motivate you.. coz u try to push urself to look good near others.. other then that check what ur eating.. like even cutting out small amounts of carbs will help.. the only supplement i take is thermogenics for the gym.. and that is to give me added energy.. but its all mental.. feeling lazy and tired is caused from sadness and depression.. u probably feel down that ur not as hot as you were and u dont look as good as u did.. and also life alone has its own problems as well.. so what i realised is you gotta put aside the problems the world creates separate to your weight gain.. firstly you have to accept who u are now and never think of what u were before.. everytime u go gym and work out you will feel great afterwards. First weigh urself and put the scales away coz it will be tempting to re way urself every day. Then go gym at least 3 times this week… and eat good … have little of everything and then reweigh urself.. and even losing 1 pound is a success…so think of small steps…and even losing 11 pounds in 1 or 2 months will motivate you and help u feel alot better.. and this will also make ur real life that u put aside from your weight life much better as well… I already lose 2 pounds in 3 weeks and ive only cut small amounts off food and went to the gym 2 or 3 times a week for the last 3 weeks… Good luck and put ur other problems aside

Okay, just to make you feel better, my sister is 5′2.5 and 220 pounds (: LOL.
I REALLY suggest going to your doctor and asking him to help you.
I’d suggest what I did to lose 50 pounds, but you already do it.
I lost 50 pounds by taking in 1300 calories daily in 4 months..

By the sounds of things - like many of us - you have messed up your metabolism by going on too many diets, and too many diet pills. I think you will find the article below on Jillian Thomas very appropriate. She was having similar problems and actually developed a diet to restore balance to the hormones regulating your metabolism. No doctor required. Just a healthy diet.

Go to google and type in "Basal metabolic rate calculator" plug in your age, height and weight into the calculator and see what number it spits out. You should eat between 500-1000 calories less than that number, so long as it will not put your intake below 1000 calories.
Your target should be -1000 calories a day.
So, if your BMR is 1700 and you eat 1200 a day, you have -500 already. You must exercise to burn that extra 500 calories off every day.
If you succeed with this, you will lose 2 pounds a week.

Well, you may have a thyroid problem, but based on the other information you have given I would say your lifestyle is causing you the problem.
Your low caloric intake suggests to me that you may be on a low fat diet. Contrary to popular opinion, a low fat diet is not a good way to lose weight. A low fat diet just slows down your metabolism. Your body is in starvation mode. The mitochondria in your cells need fat to burn fat. You need to add some more fat to your diet. But, don’t overdo it since if your diet is too high in fat, then there is too much fat for the mitochondria to use. Aim for around 30% of your calories to come from fat. Protein is also important.

In my twenties, I was on a very low fat diet and my weight just kept creeping up. In my forties, I went on a medium fat diet and I lost weight fairly easily.

All weight loss pills work under the same slogan of ‘we can help you to lose weight’, but here is the thing - what actually separates the good from the bad? The weak from the strong? The reputable from the bogus? What is the decision maker?
One key definer are their side effects.
No slimmer wants to experience them. No matter how strong their desire is to lose those excess lbs. Yet time and time again you read reports and blogs from slimmer’s who have experienced just that.
And the reason? For many it is misguidance. Surfers who have been misled by all the diet pill hype and have invested without thoroughly researching these pills first.
Now one good thing that has come out of this scenario is the coverage. Yes these bogus weight loss pills may once have been the ‘latest dietary craze’ but all these blogs and articles have gone on to set the record straight. To increase consumers awareness on which dietary supplements do work.
But we are straying from the point. What we are trying to prove here is how impacting these side effects can be against a weight loss supplements success.
Take the following supplements:
Adipex: confusions, hallucinations, aggression, nausea, diarrhoea, palpitations, tremors, convulsions
Alli: gas, incontinence, oily spotting, muscle cramps, gall bladder problems
Ephedra: severe skin reactions, insomnia, nausea, diarrhoea, seizures, hyperthermia, strokes
Meridia: nausea, constipation, menstrual cramps, headaches, seizures, abnormal bruising/bleeding, jaundice, chest pains
Reductil: abdominal pain, diarrhoea, nausea, palpitations, hypertension, impotence, seizures, tachycardia, kidney disorders.
See what we mean? How willing would you be to invest in their offers and competitions, when their weight loss diet pill can cause all these.
Luckily there are a range of weight loss supplements that can offer you successful weight loss with none of the risks of the above diet pills: Proactol™, UniqueHoodia, LIPObind and many others.
And the strength of their position in the weight loss market as a successful weight loss supplement can be seen in the variety of their campaigns and competitions.
Take natural fat binder Proactol™ (http://worthtry.info/proactol-natural-weight-loss)
They have recently teamed up with YouAndYourWedding to offer brides the chance of winning a free spa day at Champney. A luxurious spa franchise that is scattered across the UK, and is reputed for offering a range of pampering treatments.
But this is not all they are offering in this competition. Proactol™ is also offering the lucky winner a year’s free supply of Proactol™.
Now to a surfer who is aware of Proactol™’s reputation for being a 100% organic, side effect free fat binder, this competition is a dream come true.
In one competition brides can accomplish their dreams of getting in shape for their wedding, whilst also winning a day that is dedicated to pampering them.
Now if you tried to offer this same competition with any of the above weight loss pills who cause side effects, the number of consumers who would be interested in winning a year’s free supply of it would be limited.
Why would they want a year’s worth of a diet pill that can do all that?
So offer your body the security of a weight loss supplement that is committed to your health and weight loss goals, and put all the other bogus ones behind you.
